Important Information for Google Play Store Compliance
- Account Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated personal data directly from the app under "My Profile" -> "Delete Account". Alternatively, you can submit a deletion request via email to our support team.
- UGC Safety: We have a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Users can block or report profiles instantly inside the app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when registering on the App, completing onboarding, or updating your profile. This includes:
- Personal Credentials: Name, Surname, Email Address, Phone Number, Password, and Marital Status.
- Bio & Social Background: Bio, Caste/Clan details, Clan Nukh, Location (City, State), Physical characteristics (Height, Weight).
- Career & Education: Education level, Job Title, Company name, and Annual Income.
- Family Dossier: Parents' marital/living status, occupations, sibling counts, and sibling marriage details.
- Media Assets: Profile photos uploaded for profile presentation.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent. Specifically, we use it to:
- Facilitate account creation, login, and verification processes via secure WhatsApp OTP.
- Create your public matrimony profile viewable by verified members of the Sindhi Samaj community.
- Calculate search criteria, compatibility rules, and filters (such as location, age, and Sindhi Type).
- Notify you about connection acceptances, requests, and security updates.
3. How We Share Your Information
We value your privacy. Your contact details (WhatsApp Phone Number) remain completely locked and are never exposed publicly. They are only shared when:
- Mutual Connection Handshake: Both you and another user explicitly accept each other's connection requests, unlocking mutual contact details.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information where we are legally required to do so to comply with applicable law, governmental requests, or judicial proceedings.
4. Data Retention & Account Deletion (Google Play Compliance)
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
How to Delete Your Data: You have the absolute right to request the deletion of your account and personal details. You can do this by:
- Tapping the "Delete Account" button in the app's "My Profile" section.
- Sending an email request to piyushassudani96@gmail.com. Upon verification, your account, photos, matches, and logs will be permanently deleted from our databases within 7 business days.
5. UGC Safety and Content Moderation
Humsafar enforces a zero-tolerance policy against inappropriate or abusive behavior:
- Users can instantly report any profile violating community guidelines or publishing objectionable content.
- Users can block profiles to prevent them from showing up in feeds.
- We review all reports within 24 hours. Accounts found violating community terms will be permanently banned.
